After two days of riding on the shoulder of four lane highways getting on the Cowboy Trail this morning was pure Joy. Listening to birds, critters wind in the trees and corn growing was much needed.
This trail was my personal trail today. I saw two people walking along near Norfolk and no one else. It is a shame that it is not more popular, but I guess it is too far away from big populations. The trail is in great shape with a few exceptions for holes that critters dig.
The weather was perfect today mid 80’s for a high and mid 60’s for a low with a blue bird sky, just like Key West winter.
The trail stretches on for 195 miles and I rode 36 today, lots more to see and enjoy.
When I got to Riverfront park in Neligh on the Elkhorn river my new friends Maynard and Donna insisted I share a campsite . I really appreciated the ride to town for Mexican food at the Imperial too.
