I left Columbus yesterday morning under clear skies and low humidity. The little bit of tailwind was nice , but it does get hot without some breeze on your face. The ride up US 81 was easy big nice shoulder and light traffic on a Sunday morning. Trucks carrying the blades for wind generators passed me several times and I did not realize how huge they are . Made a stop at KLUB 81 for lunch it was an easy pick parking lot full of clean shinny pickup trucks. The Senior cut of chicken fried steak was more than I could eat and very good. Getting to Madison I had planned on camping at Taylor Creek Campground, however when I got there it was a golf course. According to the guys teeing up it has always been a golf course. The municipal campground had to be prearranged for the bath house key and no one at the city office answered on Sunday afternoon. All of this was a blessing , I camped indoors with a/c and awoke this morning to a light thunder shower.
This is a park in Columbus, I really enjoy these little parks. This one has a band shell lots of shade and benches to sit on.
